Every great story begins with a why...

What drives the main character? What are their fears, hopes, dreams, inspirations? WHO do they want to become?

For me, my journey as a photographer begins with my deep love with stories. I'm also an educator, a history nerd, and someone whose moved around almost 14 different times. Photography has been the medium through which I can freeze memories in time, grieve transition and loss while celebrating the beauty of the present, and see new angles and perspectives I might have never been exposed to.

Deeply woven into my very identity is that of a storyteller whose moved to action by emotion and time. For me, photos have functioned as time capsules and anchors, anchoring otherwise transient moments to real photographs. I'm a hard-core romantic at heart (my favorite movies are Little Women (2019), 13 Going on 30, While You Were Sleeping, 100 Foot-Journey, and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty—classy I know...) and firmly believe that every story is a story worth telling regardless of whether or not there's a formal occasion for it.
